Dataweb Services Model

Notes on the Dataweb Server

1. (most) everything is a service provider
   • the Contact Page and even User Account Management are services
2. every i-name-enabled service includes a Dataweb Server
   • what we used to call the Service Provider Interface Toolkit (SPIT) now includes a resolver client and (XDI-based) local data cacheing/storage, now part of what collectively is known as the "Dataweb Server"
3. the (other) parts of an i-broker are now clearly separated:

   1. the IDA or Identity Authenticator (for definitions, see BasicTerminology)

   2. the Registry
   3. the Registrar
